ACTIVITY
Demostration on how to do Bio-Enzyme using fruit waste like orange, apple and others to Form 1 dan Form 2 students. In the demonstration we show the step on how to do mixing with the right materials and ingredients. The students has been divided into 8 groups and will experience hands on activity on the mixing. At the end of workshop every group had produce one bottle of Bio-Enzyme.
CONCLUSION
The workshop went well and the students enjoyed the activity. Each group manage to produce 1 liter of Bio-Enzyme.
IMPACT
At the end of the workshop, students and teachers had obtained useful knowledge and they were planning to carry out bio-enzyme project. They planned to use the bio-enzyme for fertilizing trees and sold it in school as well as to increase the association funds and indirectly help reduce waste from the school canteen.

INTRODUCTION
The world is full of people who want to make a difference. People who are interested in helping others and the wider environment. E ijau helps young people to promote what they are doing, their work, their ideas, their passion – and through our community, enables them to connect with others.
In our community we seek to stimulate fresh thinking and bright ideas, and inspire a new generation to become 'social entrepreneurs'. Social entrepreneurs are individuals who create or develop businesses (whether commercial or not for profit) where the primary focus is on social change.
E ijau also seeks to stimulate partnerships between our members and to support them by developing partnerships with established organisations (corporations, NGOs, government, media).
VISION
E ijau is a world community of social entrepreneurs and seeks to inspire a new generation of social innovators, social business and social enterprise.
MISION
Open the hearts and minds of young people on living environment issues and working towards sustainable development in green entrepreneurship.
HISTORY BACKGROUND
✎ E ijau was established in 2011 operating from Klang Valley and from the State of Selangor. It was founded by the member of YAWA Starbucks Eco Ambassador Program. E ijau now consist of 20 youth members from the established PY (Perusahaan YAWA) a Social Entrepreneurs identity and member between the age of 13-40.
✎ E ijau will be registered as non profit organisation. The purposed was to help and organized PY activities with the support of local community.
✎ As citizens of Malaysia we targeted the local community as main supporters in E ijau entrepreneur program. Many of young people in local community are facing a challenge of dropping out of school and easily being addicted with substance abuse. E ijau wanted to change the attitude of our people in the local community especially the youth by involving them in the positive activities and projects which can uplift their lives and contributing to community development. E ijau will also give the young people of the platform to expose their talent.
BUSINESS STRATEGIC
☂ Performing art group is specializing with implementation of traditional media through dance, music, poetry, puppet shows and theatre play to spread health messages in a familiar context (HIV/Aids, substance abuse, Environmental, teenage pregnancy, and etc.
☂ Choreography workshops, art managements , stage manager and leadership courses organize.
☂ Develop their skills in dance, theatre, music, leadership and management.
☂ Project is a volunteerism project which is having exchanging program locally and Internationally.
☂ Monitoring and evaluating the situation that is affecting and harming the environment; our focuses are water conservation, salutation and recycle. We believe in implementation not just planning, more dumping areas will be turn over to useful space for the community.
☂ Partnering with different local schools were we reach lot of young people,who are trained to be project leaders, who will be getting opportunities to attend workshops and exchanging programs with young people which gives them an international exposure and global education. These young leaders will be given opportunities to organized camps during school holidays with teachers and other member to build team work, self esteem, leadership and public speaking.
☂ To promote a conducive environment for economic opportunities for youth in the tourism sector by promoting cultural activities, clothing, arts and craft as well as art vision.
Eco Ambassadors
ECO YOUTH SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP PROGRAMME
INTRODUCTION
YAWA is working in partnership with Berjaya Starbucks Coffee Company in an Eco Youth Social Entrepreneurship Program to reach out to youth between 6-18 years of age while educating them on the environment.
ECO YOUTH SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP PROGRAMME
★ This programme reaches out to the youth to firstly improve their quality of life, start the process of educating them about the importance of taking care of the environment, nurturing interest in entrepreneurship through eco activities while helping them realize the positive role they can play in their own communities, thus bring about change that they can be proud of.
★ About 200-300 young people from low-cost apartment blocks around Kuala Lumpur and Selangor will be participating in this programme and they will become “Eco Ambassadors” to give them a sense of ownership and empowerment. They will be given the guidance and the right tools to lead in a variety of projects to beautify their surroundings and promote environmental awareness.
OBJECTIVES
✿ To provide entrepreneurship opportunities through environmental projects, activities and practices.
✿ To inspire and engage youth to take action to improve their environment and immediate surroundings.
✿ To increase awareness among these youth about the environment and how they can make a difference.
✿ To provide a positive outlet for these youth and help them increase their communication skills and interaction amongst youth from other races.
✿ To develop self-esteem, self-confidence, teamwork and teaches leadership skills.
✿ To empower and support youth in understanding that they have a positive role to play in the community.
METHODOLOGY
YAWA will lead the program and Starbucks as eco partner will support with volunteer at their time during any projects.
This is a three phased programme and will be conducted as follows:-
PHASE 1 - Target Communities
To involve the RA of PPR Communities ensuring their support for the programme.
PHASE 2 - Official Kick-Start
Launching of events for the children & youth and their parents of the identified communities to :-
✚ Organise fun ice breaking activities
✚ Interactive environmental education
✚ Interactive musical performance by YAWA using recycled items
✚ Suggestions on how to improve their neighbourhood
PHASE 3 - Activity Phase
Organise environmental and entrepreneurship community related activities such as :
✤ “Neighbourhood Clean-Up Campaign” with Starbucks volunteers.
✤“Weekend Tree Planting”
✤ Environmental education workshops and activities through music, arts & crafts
✤ Regular 3Rs activities
✤ Eco Cycling program within the community
✤ “Eco Friendly Event” with eco performance, environmental projects and sharing their knowledge with their parents and neighbours to highlight their products and efforts.
COLLABORATING PARTNERS
In ensuring the success of the programme YAWA and Starbucks will also be collaborating with relevant entities such as Residents Associations, Schools, Colleges and Universities, Local Governments, Councils and Agencies.
CONCLUSION
♫ The beauty of this program is the real and physical change that both the youth and the local communities can witness for themselves, as it literally take place in their own backyard – a greener, cleaner, safer environment.
♫ For this young “Eco Ambassadors”, the program focuses on them will provide a long-lasting impact in terms of emotional, social, entrepreneurship and physiological growth, thus improves the quality of lives of the local community.

Eco School
INTRODUCTION
Eco-Schools is an international initiative designed to guide schools in implementing a whole-school approach towards environmental and sustainability education. Its holistic, participatory approach and combination of learning and action make it an ideal way for schools to embark on a meaningful path for improving the environments of schools and their local communities. Currently, the programme is being implemented in over 50 countries around the world, involving more than 40,000 schools. Its adoption in Malaysia offers the promise of consolidating various environmental education efforts that are already in place in schools.
At the international level, the programme is run by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE). FEE is a non-governmental and non-profit organization aiming to promote sustainable development through environmental education (including formal school education, training of staff and general awareness-raising). It is an international umbrella organisation with one national member organisation per country representing FEE on the national level and in charge of implementing FEE programmes nationally. It has 66 member organisations in 58 countries around the world.
WWF-Malaysia became an associate member of FEE in 2010. It also became the national operator for the Eco-Schools Programme in Malaysia. The implementation of the programme in Malaysia is supported by a National Eco-Schools Committee, made up of partners from the following ministries, government agencies, universities and organisations: Ministry of Education, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Department of Environment, Yayasan Anak Warisan Alam Malaysia, Natural Resources and Environment Board Sarawak, Sabah Environmental Education Network, University Malaya, University Kebangsaan Malaysia, University Sains Malaysia, Global Environment Centre, Friends of Kota Damansara, Malaysian Nature Society, and Scout for Nature.
